Verena Fink founded Woodpecker Finch. Before setting up the consultancy, she gained many years of management experience in the retail / e-commerce, media and FMCG sectors. Verena was active in the areas of sales / operations, customer experience / CRM and social media / marketing communication. Most recently, she was operationally active in the management of the German subsidiary of the US retail group QVC, responsible for the customer organization of a global best-in-class company with innovative social commerce strategies. Prior to this, Verena worked for many years in spokesperson roles, including in multichannel retail for the OTTO Group and QVC, in the music TV business for VIVA Media AG and MTV Networks Europe and in the FMCG industry for the consumer goods manufacturer Hengstenberg.

She stands for digital transformation in marketing, sales and distribution. Through numerous publications and lectures, she is one of the thought leaders in digital transformation and networking in the service economy and digital sales. Passionate about new technology with social guard rails, she publishes books on the pragmatic and responsible use of artificial intelligence. Through these projects, she keeps abreast of the latest developments in IT and innovation culture and startup strategies in Silicon Valley – a good addition to Woodpecker Finch’s consulting work. Her latest book “KI-Projekte – Einfach Machen” (AI Projects – Simply Do It) makes you want to gain your own experience with artificial intelligence, even if you have no prior IT knowledge. In her latest work „Künstliche Intelligenz in der Personalarbeit“ (Artificial Intelligence in Human Resources), she shows how AI is changing collaboration, leadership and decision-making in companies in the long term.
