Verena Fink founded Woodpecker Finch. Before setting up the consultancy, she gained many years of management experience in the retail / e-commerce, media and FMCG sectors in the areas of sales / operations, customer experience / CRM and social media / marketing communications. Most recently, she was in the management board of the German subsidiary of the US retail group QVC, responsible for the customer organisation of a global best-in-class company with innovative social commerce strategies. Prior to that, Verena worked for many years in spokesperson roles, including in multichannel retail for the OTTO Group and QVC, in the music TV business for VIVA Media AG and MTV Networks Europe, and in the FMCG industry for consumer goods manufacturer Hengstenberg.

Customer Value through Artificial Intelligence

She stands for digital transformation in marketing, sales and distribution. Through numerous publications and lectures, she is one of the thought leaders of digital transformation and networking in the service economy and digital sales. Passionate about new technology with social guard rails, she publishes books on the pragmatic and responsible use of artificial intelligence. These projects keep her on top of the latest developments in IT and innovation culture and startup strategies in Silicon Valley. Her latest book, "KI-Projekte – Einfach Machen" (AI Projects – Simply Doing), whets the appetite for your own experiences with artificial intelligence, even without prior IT knowledge.

Organ functions and industry associations

Based on her extensive experience, she has been appointed to the Advisory Council of DocuSign, the global industry leader for process digitisation. She also supports the European initiative AI-Park (https://kipark.de/) FOR AN AI-TECH LEADERSHIP "MADE IN GERMANY AND EUROPE" as an advisory board member, Europe’s largest customer contact platform CCW as well as the Arbeitskreis Deutscher Aufsichtsrat e.V. (ADAR). Verena is involved as a board member in the federal association DIE KMU Berater e.V. Board member for Health-i, the digital health think tank under the patronage of the Ministry of Health. She is a supervisory board member at Connect One AG and a shareholder at Quorum AI (US start-up in the field of Artificial Intelligence).
